OFFICIAL LANGUAGE

The congress official languages will be Spanish and Portuguese. Main sessions will have simultaneous translation into English.

COMMERCIAL EXHIBITION

The commercial exhibition will be an essential component of the SLAIS VIII Congress. This will be an excellent opportunity for sponsors who will be in direct contact with the audience, showing the latest industry news in the field of Sexual Medicine.

CLIMATE

The weather in Punta del Este in December is warm during the day and chilly during the evenings. Temperature is between 15° C and 28° C.

CREDIT CARDS - CURRENCY EXCHANGE

The monetary unit is the "peso uruguayo". One dollar is equivalent to approximately pesos uruguayos $25 (as of February 2005). Currency exchange is provided by banks and exchange houses. Credit cards VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DINERS) and US dollars are accepted in hotels, restaurants and shopping malls.
Tips in restaurants range from 10% to 15%.
